I fell in love with printmaking many, many years ago because of the little surprises that occur along the way in the process. Transferring a carved image from the block to the paper is magical and sometimes unpredictable (in a good way). I love carving linoleum or setting vintage wood type to compose a design. I find inspiration for my designs in vintage advertising and packaging, textile designs, and signage.
